Grady's Garden

Children in urban and rural communities are faced with long term morbidity rates due to food and nutrition insecure environments. We created Grady's Garden in 2021 to address this challenge by providing an ecosystem that is rooted in our unique value proposition. We sought to understand what activities encourage kids and families to eat more fruits and vegetables. After numerous conversations with nutrition scientists across America, we discovered that when kids garden they tend not only to eat more vegetables but also to lead more active lifestyles. To introduce the concept of gardening to kids, we sought to leverage edutainment content: Content that educates and entertains. As such, we created the animation show Grady's Garden, which chronicles the lives of six kids who decide to create an urban garden. Led by an accomplished nutrition scientist, we created an evidence-based curriculum that when activated in K-6 schools and after school programs has demonstrated significant increases in vegetable trial and identification. The program is activated by Grady's Classroom, our sister 501 c 3 organization. To increase our reach across America and globally, we're proud to announce that we are the recipient of a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research grant to develop the first of its kind "Grady's Garden App." The App will feature retail grocer collaboration opportunities that encourage kids to eat more vegetables and will launch in Q2 '2025. To fund in part these philanthropic endeavors we offer premium, great tasting, and nutritious products.
