Burroughs Family Farms was officially established as a brand in 2010, but our farming roots trace back to 1894 when Benjamin Burroughs traveled from Illinois to California to pursue a future in the milk business. Over generations, our family has maintained a tradition of farming excellence. The inspiration behind our venture into sustainable and regenerative agriculture stemmed from the collective vision of Benina Burroughs, now Managing Partner, and her parents, Ward and Rosie Burroughs. After extensive research and learning about the detrimental impacts of modern farming on soil, water, and the environment, we realized that transitioning to organic practices was not just a choice but a necessity. We then took a bold leap further, adopting regenerative practices to heal and enhance our farmlands. Thus, Burroughs Family Farms was born, dedicated to bringing clean, nutrient-dense almonds and other products to the market in an innovative and environmentally conscious way. Our journey is a testament to our commitment to sustainability, preserving our family's legacy, and protecting the land for future generations
