If you go back to the beginning of LittleOak, you'll find something more passionate than any business. Far more powerful than a faceless corporation. You'll find a mum. A mum, who like every mother, wanted one simple thing: to give her children the best possible start in life. But when she read the ingredients of the infant formulas on the shelf, she thought to herself that there must be a better, more natural way to give them the nutrition they need. So, she put her heart into creating a formula for babies and toddlers from only the best ingredients. What she learnt was that when you use wholesome, nutritious goat milk, the less you do to it the better. The idea of LittleOak came when Elke, as a mum, became curious about what and how infant formula was made. Almost immediately it became clear that what we were unwittingly feeding our babies was no better than a chemical cocktail. While current formulas won't necessarily harm a baby, it certainly isn't the best and nor the most wholesome nutrition we can give as an alternative to breastfeeding. After rolling back the layers on the infant formula industry, not only did Elke see an opportunity, but more importantly, she felt she had a responsibility to do better. And in 2018 LittleOak was born. We started with one very clear goal: to develop the most wholesome infant formula and one that was as close to nature as possible ? in taste, in texture, and in nutritional value. We knew we needed to create a brand that was supported by science, but as natural as humanly possible. That is why we fell in love with goat milk. Goat milk, by nature, is closer to human breast milk than cow's milk or soy, which means less processing and more natural goodness. We subscribe to a less-is-more approach, including our new From Fresh processing method, and make sure that every ingredient is not only natural, but necessary.
