When my family immigrated to New York more than three decades ago, they found community among fellow immigrant families who were working hard to build new lives while staying connected to their culture and traditions. Wanting to create opportunity and support for those around them, we started making kimchi—not simply as a business, but as a way to provide meaningful work, share nourishment, and serve the community. What began as a humble family endeavor grew into something far greater. Through food, my family was able to create connections, support others, and pass down a tradition handed down for generations.
