Lulus Holistics

Lulu's Holistics started during a major hurricane in Florida, when I had to leave town and stay with my mom. She is a herbalist and has always been passionate about natural skincare. After working in beauty retail, she became more aware of how many products contained ingredients she didn't feel comfortable using. At the time, we were both on our vegan journeys and becoming more intentional about what we put on our bodies. While staying with her, we noticed she had a container of unrefined yellow shea butter sitting unused. I suggested we make something with it, and we started creating body butters right in her kitchen. I shared the process on my platform and talked openly about why these ingredients mattered. That same day, we received over 500 orders, and everything shifted from there. I was working in the beauty industry at the time, and what started as a spontaneous moment quickly turned into something real. Although the idea began a year earlier, Lulu's Holistics officially became a brand in 2018.
