Maison Maxine

Hi. My name is Olivia Gubel. And I'm a 22-year-old college student with a deep passion for aesthetics. My passion for creating is evident in my Spotify page, as in my free time, I am a singer-songwriter-producer. My resume, however, is more traditional. I am studying Economics and English at Williams College. I've worked as an investment banking summer analyst at a boutique consumer firm in Los Angeles. In the summer of 2025, I will be interning at a tech VC firm in Los Angeles. I came up with the idea for Maison Maxine earlier this year in Napa. My father, a hobby winemaker, had just come from a symposium, and was telling me about how Gen Z-ers aren't drinking red wine. Why would they? I thought. Not only does quality red wine cost upwards of $50, but it is bitter and stringent. Canned cocktails are overly sweet and canned seltzer was artificial. The only thing I enjoyed drinking was champagne, which seemed pretentious. Like the perfect mascara -- I was looking for my drink. And when I couldn't find it, I made it.
