Ritual Chocolate

The story of Ritual Chocolate began in a modest 400-square-foot studio tucked away in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. What started as a humble test kitchen quickly became the foundation for a mission to transform an industry that felt broken. In 2010, truly high-quality chocolate was a rarity, and transparency in sourcing and production was virtually nonexistent. We knew chocolate could—and should—be better, and we were determined to be the ones to make it happen. We chose the name Ritual as a tribute to the reverence cacao once held in the rituals and ceremonies of the Mayans, Aztecs, and Olmecs. To these ancient cultures, cacao wasn't just food—it was sacred. We wanted to honor that legacy by crafting chocolate that celebrates its origins and elevates its potential. Fueled by this passion, we set out to change how people experience chocolate. We believed then, as we do now, that everyone deserves to enjoy chocolate of the highest quality—chocolate that is ethically sourced, meticulously crafted, and full of flavor. Much has changed since those early days experimenting with cacao. We've traded one set of mountains for another, now calling the majestic peaks of Utah home. Today, our factory just outside of Park City serves as the heart of Ritual Chocolate, where every day is dedicated to perfecting the art of chocolate-making. Our love for cacao remains as strong as ever, and with each batch, we strive to honor its story. The knowledge and experience we've gained over the years inspire us to continuously improve, innovating while staying true to the essence of what makes chocolate extraordinary.
