Sarilla

In 2009, our founder, Sara Delaney, lived in Rwanda and worked with genocide survivors who inspired her deeply, teaching her that anything is possible, never to settle, and that healing is a lifelong process. It was there that she discovered the incredible teas grown in Rwanda and turned to them as a nourishing alternative to alcohol. The seeds for Sarilla were planted in those moments. In 2018, the brand launched under the name Silverback Draft Tea, selling tea on tap in kegs to Asheville-area breweries. At a time when nonalcoholic options were a tough sell, these venues provided crucial proof of concept and a launching pad for growth. By March 2019, the first two canned flavors were introduced at Expo West, marking a significant step forward in creating inclusive, health-focused beverages that celebrate resilience, wellness, and connection. Since then, Sarilla, based in Asheville, NC, has expanded to seven SKUs, received a prestigious SOFI Award, and earned Best Packaging Design awards. Our efforts were recently highlighted by CNN as a brand making an impact. Sarilla is certified Fair Trade, Organic, Kosher, and Women-Owned, as well as a proud member of 1% for the Planet. We source nearly all of our ingredients directly from regenerative farms, ensuring sustainability and ethical partnerships at every level. Today, Sarilla continues to innovate, offering organic, nonalcoholic spritzers that support mind, body, and spirit while honoring the values of resilience and wellness that inspired its creation.
