My nimble steady fingers moved with quickness as I pulled the thread through the needle hole. Done. Onto the next singer machine. My first job was working in my mother's clothing factory doing menial tasks to help the immigrant women slung over their machines meet deadlines. I never imagined those learnings would come full circle. When looking to be more sustainable in my everyday adult life, I started in my bathroom as a lover of all things beauty. Trying to replace my single-use products, I searched for brands making reusable makeup wipes ethically and responsibly. And I couldn't find one. So I decided to create it myself. As a first-generation daughter of a seamstress, I knew the intricacies of the textile industry. So, I launched the first-ever beauty reusables focused on transparent materials, ingredients & workplace. I set out to create a brand rooted in equity— where we challenge beauty standards and the industry's environmental boundaries and pay homage to heritage ingredients. I launched Clean Circle with an unwavering belief that sustainable beauty products should be accessible, modern, and impactful. We can bring equity to the beauty space and help people live a more conscious lifestyle.
