TruJoy Yogurt

I founded TruJoy Yogurt to create a frozen dessert alternative with emphasis on clean ingredients as well as a robust nutrition profile. Our health is governed just as much, if not more, by the quality of the ingredients we eat, and I believe that in the realm of frozen desserts there is room to improve on the quality of alternatives to traditional ice cream. It was important to me that Greek Yogurt was the #1 ingredient, there was more protein than fat and that the live & active probiotic cultures survived the manufacturing process so that our customers could realize the benefits as well as enjoying something that was truly as indulgent as ice cream. With a clean ingredient list and target nutrition profile in mind, I developed the product over ~150 batches making minor adjustments to achieve an indulgently creamy texture. We had some early and lucky success shortly after launching as we were picked up by Central Market and in their freezers within two months. Today, our products can be found in 85 retail locations across TX, NM, OK, MO & LA after our most recent launch into 21 stores in Whole Foods Markets' SW region. Because our Frozen Greek Yogurt is made using only Simple, Natural & Timeless Ingredients, I am optimistic that we can build a brand to last. We aren't playing into the trend de jour – the ingredients we use are traditional and won't go out of vogue with the next big trend. That said, our products do have relevance to today's focus on gut health. We are on a mission to make the world a happier & healthier place by making the healthy choice the easy one.
