As a professional chef to athletes in the NBA, NFL, and WNBA, a mother to two kids with a rare genetic cancer disease, and a living kidney donor herself, Chef Kirsten Sandoval couldn't find healthy convenience products on the market in inclusive flavors that fit all of her, or her client's needs. She knew there was a way we could have it all: convenient blends that work as hard as we do, globally-inspired flavors that invite everyone to the table, quality ingredients that boost flavor AND nutrition, variety, versatility, and above all GREAT taste. So, she went out and created them for her clients, and now we are sharing them with you! Why we're different: There are only 3-4 regional global cuisines represented on most grocery store shelves - but we know the country is much more beautifully diverse, AND the flavor desires we ALL are craving are also much more diverse than that! Data shows that 1.65 million people cook at home 3-5x per week. When polled they said they need more of the following attributes: Easy solutions to getting dinner on the table, They desire more global flavors, AND they want healthier options. So Mesa de Vida is here to give consumers more of what they want and what they can't currently find in the marketplace! To use, simply combine 1 lb of protein, 2 cups of veggies, and 1 bottle of starter sauce. Then slow cook, simmer, or braise up incredible soups, stews, saucy skillet meals and more! Think: The convenience of spaghetti sauce, Indian cooking sauces, and those gloppy condensed soups - sprinkle in the versatility and complexity of Thai curry pastes. We've expanded on that inspiration to include more of the flavors we crave, provide easy solutions for our busy lifestyles, and the way we cook and eat today. You don't need any special skills, equipment, or have to keep a cabinet full of spices on hand, or chop a basket full of vegetables just to make one recipe.
