Our founder Josh had some personal health concerns, so we started out on a journey to create a great-tasting, better-for-you tortilla chip…reduce the carbs, improve the protein, increase the fiber. After three years of R&D we determined that corn germ was the key. We worked with the leading corn food scientist in the world to create the tastiest and healthiest tortilla chip on the planet. Along the way we discovered that using more corn germ meant that 40% of our raw materials were upcycled…and we were saving 16 gallons of water per bag. With broad adoption of our process, the implications for the corn-based snack industry are huge. Wow…great taste, healthier, upcycled, saves water.
