At Bored Cow, we believe cows should be free to do whatever they want, rather than forced to work on factory farms to produce dairy products for us. For the first time ever, we have the science and the technology to make that a reality. Launched in 2022 and made with fermentation-derived milk protein, Bored Cow is genuine vegan-friendly dairy. It's also lactose free, cholesterol free, hormone free, and antibiotic free. Available in 4 rich, creamy, and nostalgic flavors (Original, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry), Bored Cow is proof that we don't need factory farms, or even cows, to make dairy products people love. We launched quietly in the summer of 2022 as a direct to consumer milk brand. Launching a new product to the world? Trying to explain animal-free dairy milk? Fermentation-derived proteins? We took it one customer at a time, following each order to get feedback, from taste and texture to our storytelling. The goal was to launch a product into retail that we knew people would love, rather than just hoping. And after numerous iterations and refinements, we did just that in April 2023. Bored Cow has a powerful environmental story to tell as well. To validate our climate credentials, we recently conducted an ISO-aligned life cycle assessment (LCA) with a third party expert to compare the impact of our flagship product (Bored Cow Original) to conventional and organic dairy milk from "farm to factory." The results? Bored Cow uses up to 96% less land, requires up to 67% less water, and emits up to 44% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional and organic dairy milk. It's a validation of our mission to fill grocery aisles, pantries, and refrigerators with kinder, cleaner, greener dairy products. And we're just getting started.
