Gu Yue means “Ancient Moon.” The name comes from an old Chinese image: generations change, yet the same moon continues to shine. To us, tea carries something similar. For centuries, tea has connected people to nature, season, hospitality, reflection, and one another. Its forms may change, but the deeper wisdom behind it remains timeless. Gu Yue was founded in 2025 with a simple belief: tea culture should not belong only to tea rooms, ceremonies, or experts. It can live naturally within modern everyday life. We begin with tea itself—carefully sourced leaves that express their place, season, and craftsmanship. But we are equally interested in everything tea can become. Our botanical tea candies, made with real tea extracts, are one example: a familiar daily object transformed into another way to experience tea. As Gu Yue grows, we continue to explore products inspired by tea, its ingredients, its rituals, and the culture surrounding it. What connects everything we make is not simply flavor.
