I moved to San Diego from Arkansas about 6 years ago - when I moved here I realized wine was a lot more common. I started drinking it and really enjoyed it - but I did not enjoy the ordering / shopping experience. It was always so complicated and had a stigma to it. I would be at the bars late at night holding a stemmed glass while everyone else had their cans. The bartenders would always give me a look because they had to open a whole entire bottle just to pour me one glass. I did some R&D and quickly realized the canned wine market had a giant gap - "the liquid death of wine". I would almost get anxiety walking down the wine aisle and seeing hundreds of bottles that all look the same (cursive labels, muted logos, matte tones, etc). This is where we come in. I wanted to create a brand that spoke to the opposite of what every other current option had. Our logo is a broken pinky because "you don't need your pinky up to enjoy wine". Our tagline is "pairs well with vibes" and "you don't need a beer to crack a cold one". The wine market is begging to have a trendy refresh. I don't come from the indsutry at all, I knew nothing about alcohol, RTD's. CPG's, or any of that. I'm all self taught and absolutely still learning. But what I DO know is I started this brand as a use case with an issue in the market that I was experiencing night in and night out. We're quickly gaining traction on socials and I'm so stoked to see what more we can learn and how we can grow in this industry. It's my passion and my entire life.
