Pure Ocean minerals for supplements were born out of our saltworks trusted by Michelin-starred kitchens worldwide. Founder Michal Christina Bietz moved from Oregon to an island of the Norwegian Northwestern coast with her Norwegian husband and two sons in 2014. Seeing, experiencing and living by the pure wild ocean inspired her to make salt. Her focus on quality, purity and sustainability quickly caught on by the top chefs in Scandinavia and spread from there to kitchens in Europe and the United States. Through meticulous attention to detail and taste she was able to scale the small factory production without losing quality, Sustainability has always been a priority, from using only single source renewable energy to becoming zero waste. Part of that process was her dream of upcycling our post-salt mineral stream to realize the pure, clean minerals from the bitterns. Through a partnership with world-leading scientists from the University of Palermo that dream has come true. We now derive the purest quality magnesium, potassium and calcium from our post salt mineral stream and are now introducing it to the market at Natural Products Expo West.
