JAS was founded in 2022 after a transformative journey that began 10 years before, when co-founder Cecilia Rios Murrieta, immersed in the cultural vibrancy of Oaxaca, Mexico, started her own mezcal company. Her experience there, working closely with local farmers to champion mezcal as a premium spirit, nurtured a deep appreciation for authentic, culturally enriched beverages. The idea for JAS, which stands for 'Juntos A Saborear' (Savoring Together), took shape as Cecilia transitioned to a sober lifestyle in 2018, leading her to envision a line of celebratory beverages that were both alcohol-free and culturally significant. In 2022, Cecilia teamed up with Jaymee Mandeville, who brought her extensive expertise in beverage marketing to the venture. Together, they crafted beverages that marry traditional Latin flavors with functional ingredients, ensuring each beverage is not only delicious but also supports well-being. At JAS we are committed to crafting drinks that are inclusive, joyous, and health-conscious, allowing everyone to partake in celebrations in a meaningful way.
