The Original Asian Fusion for over 60 years, NOH Foods of Hawaii has made it our mission to create delicious and authentic, simple-to-prepare Asian & Pacific-rim cuisine. Family-owned company from the 50th state of Hawaii, many of our delectable dishes are Hawaiian inspired ~ there is always a feel good, "just right" comfort feeling when you cook and dine on the various dishes prepared with NOH Foods products. Started back in 1963 when my parents, Edwin and Miriam Noh opened the first Korean restaurant in Honolulu, HI – Arirang. An important staple at any Korean restaurant is Kim Chee (a traditional side dish made from salted and fermented vegetables). However, to make Kim Chee requires much labor and time – peeling, chopping and preparing of the various ingredients. To save time, money and labor, my father began dehydrating these ingredients and developed a ready-to-use Kim Chee mix. The kitchen staff only had to add a scoop of this mix to the prepared cabbage and the Kim Chee was ready! That initial Kim Chee mix became the first of many NOH Foods products! This was soon followed by a variety of sauces and seasonings reflective of the many races and cultures which make up the Hawaiian Islands - Japanese Teriyaki, Chinese Char Siu, Filipino Adobo, Portuguese Vinha D'alhos, Hawaiian Haupia and many more. With today's busy lifestyles it can be difficult to find time to make satisfying and healthy meals for your family. It is our greatest enjoyment to know that generations of families rely on NOH Foods as a staple in their homes and on their dining tables – it's like an old friend in the kitchen! To this day, the products of NOH Foods of Hawaii can be found across the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico and throughout the Asia-Pacific region! It continues to be our mission and our commitment to provide Easy to use, Simple and Delicious products! We are proud to say that our products contain NO added MSG.
