I moved to Canada a couple years ago from India, a country known for its rich cultural and culinary traditions. While I was pleasantly surprised to see how diverse Toronto was, I was also shocked to see the lack of diversity on the store shelves. Food is so much more than boring burgers and nuggets. Beyond nourishment, it connects us with each other, our cultures and histories. Thats when I started Plant Up, a company that celebrates global cultures through food and makes it convenient and affordable for people to practise a conscious and plant-forward lifestyle. We started sales in early 2023 and by mid 2024 we have reached 1,000 stores across Canada and are looking to make our way to US in 2025. At Expo we intend to launch our line of Frozen products and our line of high-protein, functional snacks.
