Modica was created when co-founders, Eric and JD met in business school. We worked full-time jobs while taking three hours of night classes most evenings. At the end of the day, what we wanted most was a cocktail. Eric is a career mixologist with over a decade of experience, and he founded two bars and restaurants in Louisville, but at the end of the day he was too tired to make something from scratch. And JD can barely squeeze a lime on a good day! So we looked at the mixers available in grocery stores and found they were full of preservatives, toxic ingredients and loads of sugar; and none of that sounded like it would make a tasty cocktail. That's when we decided to put those night classes to use and develop Modica -- a cocktail and mocktail mixer made with naturally-sourced superfood ingredients and up to 70% less sugar than other mixers! Now everyone can enjoy better-tasting, better-for-you cocktails and mocktails! Mixing instructions are on the back of each bottle for a classic cocktail, a pitcher of cocktails, and a non-alcoholic mocktail, and every bottle makes 10+ drinks.
