Andy, a Mexican immigrant who relocated to the great culinary city of San Antonio, Texas, cared about making food that was good for his family. He used recipes from his Mexican heritage to craft high quality products that tasted great and honored his family's history. He sold his first home-cooked barbacoa the way any sane San Antonio businessman would: from the back of his pickup truck. Before he knew it, he was delivering deliciously prepared meats such as pork carnitas and delicacies such as tamales to restaurants & retailers across the San Antonio area, and his traditional, homestyle cooking made him a household name. Today, Garcia Foods continues to cook the same flavorful, simple recipes we always have. We've stayed true to our Mexican roots and are proud to share our culinary traditions with your family.
