Monkey Brittle

Our story began when our first child was resisting†meal time and attempting to survive solely off of snack foods. While the natural foods world has created†a lot more healthy options than there used to be, we still found that kids snacks contained lots of sodium, processed grains, or sugars. There had to be a better way to get healthy foods in the belly of our pick eater!† Meanwhile, a good friend of ours had grown tired of the Standard American Diet - a culinary catastrophe best defined by its very own acronym: SAD! On her journey to lead a healthier†lifestyle, she became somewhat of a master raw foods chef, eventually going on to create a raw foods blog and vast catalog of recipes.† She was constantly experimenting with organic, raw ingredients, honing flavors, and publishing her works to help like minded†individuals lead a healthier lifestyle. One day, a happy accident between a banana and a dehydrator resulted in an undeniably delicious†texture and flavor, and after tasting it we all knew she had something special.† Next thing you know, our kids were†eating it by the handful, and we felt great about it, because they were literally just eating bananas, nuts, and raisins! After sampling friends and bagging brittle to sell locally, we found that adults†liked†it even more than kids, and we knew we had to share Monkey Brittle with the world!
