Three years ago we bought our first load of Bison from Canada. This began the partnership between our family and the Kreycik ranch in Niobrara, NE. Our family owns the bison and the Kreycik family works and raises them. A friend was visiting during a bison harvest. Her sister asked if she could have the tallow. She explained to us that bison tallow is better, different and sought after as a skin moisturizer. We did what most would do. We went on Amazon and searched for bison tallow for sale. No results. Same from google. So we decided to see what we could make from the "off fall", which is the portion of the animal which is usually sent to waste or made into pet food. We recognized an opportunity to create a category of products which would honor and employ the amazing benefits of bison. The Big Crazy Buffalo Co. shifted from being bison producers to include a skin care company. We handcrafted lip and skin balms and applied for a USPTO trademark. Our products rely on the moisture and nutrition provided by the time tested plains bison tallow. Starting with essential oils and other natural ingredients, we created a body balm and a five pack of different scented lip balms. In the spirit of less is more we created a second generation of bison tallow products that are unscented. We offer a healing salve, unscented lip balm and now include a line of soaps. The third generation of bison products include four unscented soaps. This is soap with a purpose. We offer an unscented bar, crafted from pure bison tallow. We offer three other soaps, all made with bison tallow, unscented and intended for shaving, bath and shampoo. We sell our products at in-person markets. We make private label products for bison ranchers. We are selling bison tallow products at Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, the National Bison Museum and others. Our product feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are fast creating a loyal following of repeat customers. Thank You for your time and interest."
