In 1977, Celestino "Charlie" Mirarchi started a beef jerky business out of small kitchen in SoCal, selling white label beef jerky to a small number of retail outlets and roadside jerky stands. In 2010, founders Eugene Kang and Susan Kang stumbled upon one of these stands on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and discovered Charlie's life-changing beef jerky. For Eugene and Susan, they were not only impressed by the taste and texture of the product, but also the clean label that it had, which stood in direct contrast to other jerky that littered store shelves: chemically-induced, preservative-laced products. Eugene and Susan tracked down Charlie Mirarchi and in 2011 purchased the company. Fast forward to today, and Country Archer is now the 5th largest Meat Snack brand in the nation, with distribution in over 25,000 retailers nationwide.
