Bake Me Healthy

When I had children 11 years ago, I realized how much junk was in sweets and treats. They were filled with excess amounts of sugar and fat as well as artificial food coloring. I wanted to nourish their bodies so I started baking healthier - less sugar and butter, more fruits and vegetables and natural food coloring. Only 10% of Americans eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables. Why not use every chance to sneak in nutrition? I started making spinach pancakes and muffins, beet brownies and sweet potato cupcakes. My children felt like they were being rewarded with a sweet treat, all the while also getting a dose of vitamins and antioxidants. My children not only taught me to become creatively healthy, but they also brought on my lactose (and egg) intolerance during pregnancy. I had to adapt my baking with these dietary restrictions. On top of this, in 2020 I discovered atypical cells in my breast and became high risk for breast cancer - more reason to eat and bake with clean ingredients. I took this new passion for clean baking and combined it with my experience as a Beauty Marketing Executive and launched Bake Me Healthy in 2021. As a seasoned skincare innovator, I developed many beautiful, efficacious formulas. I take the same approach with baking – creating recipes with natural, organic ingredients and turning these bakes into beautiful plant-based masterpieces. My goal is to show others that healthy baking doesn't have to be hard, boring or tasteless. It can be enjoyed without sacrificing dietary restrictions. Additionally, as an eco-conscious consumer it was important that my business have a positive environmental impact which is why our mixes feature upcycled fruits and veggies and are packaged in post-consumer resin pouches. For me, success looks like having a positive impact on other families and the environment and making myself and my kids proud.
