Gallant Tiger LLC

Kamal Mohamed came to Minneapolis from Ethiopia at ten years old. At South High he wore the Gallant Tiger mascot suit, and he sold PB&Js out of the parking lot after games. Four restaurants later he was still making them. After service, his cooks would reach for good bread and the house jam and build a sandwich for themselves. Nobody planned it. It just kept happening. Those sandwiches became Gallant Tiger. We launched in 2022 and built the product the way a restaurant would. Real fruit jam, not jelly. Flavors that came off a menu: strawberry cardamom, blueberry lemon thyme. Creamy peanut butter and a high-fiber bread that bring a sandwich to 10g of protein and 5g of fiber at 270 calories. Vegan and OU Kosher. It ships frozen, keeps 12 months in the freezer, and lasts 10 days in the fridge once it thaws. Today Gallant Tiger is in 58 locations across 14 states. Cub Foods, Kowalski's and Coborn's across the Twin Cities, plus cafes and independent grocers. We sell direct at gallanttiger.com and ship through US Foods, Sysco and UNFI. The company is certified Black-owned and still based in Minneapolis. Anyone can remove the crust. We obsessed over everything else.
