The Bove's story began in 1941 when Louis and Victoria Bove opened the doors to Bove's Café in Burlington, Vermont. Built on Victoria's family recipes and a belief that great food brings people together, the restaurant quickly became a Vermont tradition, serving generations of families authentic Italian meals made with care. As the third generation of the Bove family, I grew up in that restaurant, learning that quality isn't just about ingredients—it's about pride, consistency, and treating every meal as if you were serving your own family. In 1996, I took those same family recipes beyond the restaurant by bottling our signature pasta sauces so families could enjoy the taste of Bove's at home. What started as a small operation has grown into a modern, SQF-certified manufacturing facility in Milton, Vermont, producing premium pasta sauces and other specialty foods for retailers and private label partners across the country. While our equipment has evolved, our philosophy has not. We still begin with premium ingredients, including vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh garlic, fresh onions, herbs, and the recipes that have been passed down through three generations. Every batch reflects our commitment to quality, food safety, and authentic flavor. Today, Bove's is more than a family brand. We are a trusted manufacturing partner known for innovation, operational excellence, and the ability to develop premium products that meet the highest industry standards.
