The Giesen story began in 1981 when three brothers—Theo, Alex, and Marcel—set out on a journey that took them around the world before ultimately finding their home in New Zealand. Drawn to the unique landscape of Marlborough, they knew it was the perfect place to cultivate grapes. What started as a simple vineyard soon flourished into something far beyond their expectations: an internationally renowned, award-winning winery celebrated for its innovation and ingenuity. Now, four decades later, Giesen continues to build on its legacy of passion and craftsmanship, creating wines that elevate every occasion. In recent years, Giesen Group has achieved remarkable success in the non-alcoholic wine category, emerging as industry leaders in New Zealand. Today, Giesen Wines embodies the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Giesen's unwavering commitment to enhancing the beauty of traditional wine through continuous innovation positions them as New Zealand's most forward-thinking winery, creating a future where wine is both reimagined and refined—celebrated not just locally, but around the world.
