Sol Aid is a natural products brand from Virginia Beach, VA with 1 product on Beacon Discovery, mostly sun & insect protection. Its range is distributed by Not in Distribution.

We didn't set out to build a brand—we just wanted something that worked. Growing up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, we spent our days barefoot, raised by the sun and salt air. Sunburns were part of summer, but over time, we learned they're more than skin deep. Every burn increases the risk of melanoma and disrupts your skin's natural defenses—including its microbiome, the delicate ecosystem of protective bacteria. After a brutal bout with Hell's Itch, we realized aloe gels and tropical-scented lotions weren't cutting it. We needed real relief—something natural, effective, and safe for our skin and the planet. With the help of our granddad—a scientist, a beach lover, and a lifelong advocate for respecting nature—we began experimenting. No lab, just mason jars, old notebooks, and a set of non-negotiables for ingredients. After 27 iterations (and a few scents we'd rather forget), we landed on the formula that became Sol Aid. Founded in 2024, Sol Aid was born from the belief that skincare should heal people and protect the world we share. That's why our formulas are 100% natural—free from synthetic fragrances, dyes, preservatives, or shortcuts—and why a portion of every sale supports environmental and public health causes. What started as a home remedy is now a mission: to offer skin-safe, microbiome-friendly products that ease sunburn, support skin health, and leave no harm behind. Whether you're recovering from a day in the sun or dealing with conditions like eczema or acne, Sol Aid is proof that clean, effective skincare doesn't have to compromise. Because protecting your skin and protecting the planet should always go hand in hand.
