Our unique journey began with a federally funded project that demonstrated lavender's viability on abandoned coal mine land. After that project concluded in early 2018, I was inspired to commit to a bigger mission: starting a company to cultivate lavender on post-use land and create high-quality, value-added products. We officially began planting in 2019, transforming what was once scarred land into vibrant lavender fields. By the summer of 2020, we celebrated a major milestone, extracting our very first batch of lavender essential oil. This paved the way for our sales launch in the fall of 2020. Those early days were certainly a climb, but a dedicated angel investor believed in our vision, providing the crucial support that allowed us to nurture our growing retail and wholesale sales. We're immensely proud of the brand we've cultivated and the success we've achieved. Today, we're not just growing lavender; we're shipping our products to customers in all 50 U.S. states and Canada, and expanding our reach to retailers nationwide. Beyond the business, our work has a profound impact. We're actively contributing to environmental remediation by revitalizing former mine lands, and we're proud to create local jobs in a region deeply affected by the opioid crisis and the downturn in the energy industry. It's a journey of growth, healing, and community, all rooted in the beauty of lavender.
