Aider was born out of a deeply personal struggle—trying to hit my protein goals while juggling the overwhelming demands of motherhood. Like so many moms, my mental energy was completely absorbed by making sure my child was fed and cared for, leaving very little space to prioritize myself. I kept seeing protein ice cream recipes on TikTok and was intrigued by the idea of something that could satisfy my sweet tooth and support my nutrition. But I didn't want to spend $200 on a machine just to find out it wasn't for me. Eventually, I was gifted the machine, and while I gave it my best shot, the results weren't great. The prep was exhausting, and the final product tasted like a frozen protein shake—not like a real indulgence. That's when I realized: if the product I needed didn't exist, maybe I could create it. I started researching food developers and took a leap of faith into a world I knew nothing about. I felt so much imposter syndrome—I didn't know the terminology, the process, or how anything worked. Every step—formulation, ingredients, manufacturing, shipping—has been an uphill climb. But I kept going, because I believed in the need. The name Aider comes from my maiden name, Ator, and is also the French verb "to help." It's a tribute to my late father, who lived a life of service and always strived to help others. That spirit runs through everything I'm building. At its core, Aider exists to give moms a little more energy, a little more time, and one less thing to think about. It's a high-protein ice cream that feels indulgent without the effort—no machines, no prep, no compromise. Just something that's there for you, the way you're always there for everyone else.
