Our founders Allan and Andrew met in San Francisco in 2021, to discuss a shared interest in using adaptogens and superfoods to help people live better lives. Their first obstacle was that they came from different worlds. The son of a renowned herbalist, Allan brought knowledge of traditional remedies that had been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Meanwhile, Andrew took an experimental approach that relied on modern science - down to the molecule. This obstacle quickly became their unique strength. Andrew and Allan made superfood blends that were scientifically-backed and completely natural. This combination made their earliest products (NoonBrew) cutting-edge in the supplement space. A devoted following started to grow, empowering Andrew and Allan to dream even bigger. In 2022, Andrew approached Allan about a project that was deeply personal. He'd grown up watching his parents struggle with sleep, and was starting to experience sleeplessness himself. Allan shared that he, too, had watched his parents struggle with sleep. It was time for the pair to take on their biggest challenge: bringing back better sleep. MoonBrew, the strongest magnesium sleep aid, launched in October 2022 in Andrew's mom's favorite flavor: chamomile rose. Immediately, customers started writing in saying they were finally getting the sleep they thought they would never have again. Most importantly, MoonBrew worked for Andrew and Allan's loved ones. MoonBrew has grown rapidly since. MoonBrew 'hot cocoa' launched in 2024, and immediately sold out. In 2025, the team met their mascot - Astro - who landed in a rocketship outside their their HQ in New York - bringing new ideas for flavors from other planets (well, sort of). It has been an incredible journey. MoonBrew was Allan and Andrew's way of giving back to their parents, and honoring the traditions and values their parents had instilled in them. After watching their sleep supplement change their families' lives, and hearing from the hundreds of thousands of people who have been helped by MoonBrew, they are honored to share it with the world.
