In 2016, Amber English and Benjamin Moore, a brother-sister duo from midwest Missouri, founded Pixie Cup with a dream to end period poverty. Amber's global travels after graduate school opened her eyes to a universal struggle: women missing school and work due to lack of affordable period products. Even in regions with better access, the environmental toll of disposable products was staggering. Determined to make a difference, Amber teamed up with her business-savvy brother Benjamin to create a solution—menstrual cups that reduce waste to nearly zero and last up to 10 years. With proper care, they can be sanitized with just boiling water, making them accessible worldwide. Amber and Benjamin built Pixie Cup into a force for change, later expanding their vision with patented Pixie Discs featuring a trademarked "removes like a tampon"™ stem. Both cups and discs empower users with easy, sustainable alternatives to traditional products, replacing thousands of tampons and cutting down waste significantly. Through the Buy One Give One program, every cup sold means a cup donated to a woman in need, helping her live free from the constraints of period poverty. Partnering with leading nonprofits, Pixie Cup has distributed products globally, ensuring women and girls can thrive.
