Ovino was founded in 2018 with a mission to bring authentic sheep milk products to a market largely dominated by cow dairy. Our family immigrated to Canada over 30 years ago, having been accustomed to sheep milk products. When we couldn't find these products on local shelves, we reluctantly switched to cow's milk—only to discover we were lactose intolerant. This unexpected surprise resonates with many, as over 70% of the population struggles with cow dairy. Inspired by the health benefits and rich flavors of sheep milk products from our Mediterranean heritage, we recognized its absence in our local stores. Leveraging our family's farming background, we set out to produce high-quality sheep milk products while adhering to sustainable farming practices that honor the land and our roots. Our products are A2 and lactose friendly with almost double the nutritional value of cow milk products in terms of protein, minerals and vitamins.
