Friendly Blends

We started friendly blends first and foremost because of our nomad-like, lifelong travelling experience as third-culture individuals, which allowed us to discover truly special tea and coffee. We wanted to share some of our experiences and ethically share the exact sourcing of the tea, and help explain that, in many cases, whole communities and generations of farmers depend on the end-consumer buying their agriculture. Moreover there are a lot of unfriendly tricks in the tea industry that made us unhappy, one of which is the use of "natural flavors". Natural flavors, which are lab synthesized and often derive from questionable sources, are against our principles. We keep things friendly, by offering organic teas and coffee that are flavoring free. We feel that really good tea is tea that you want to go back to, while the after taste of not-so-"naturally flavored" tea often leaves your mind second guess about steeping another cup. Lastly, we care about functionality of our tea. Whether you are looking to improve your antioxidant intake, support digestion, increase mental clarity and focus, prolong sustained energy without spikes, get better sleep or relaxation, or improve immunity, we have teas specific to each category. Going a step further, we offer adaptogenic mushroom teas (Tremella and Reishi), as well as teas with adaptogenic herbs & spices such as ashwagandha and moringa. Additionally, a significant part of our mission is sourcing ingredients at the optimal time for each crop, drying them, and shipping them directly to our friendly customers. Our own packaging hub is centrally located within our global network of farmers. This means we don't engage in the practice of diverting our ingredients to third parties for storage and packaging, often located deep within Europe. This ensures that we deliver freshly dried or roasted ingredients.
