Chiwis was founded by Sarah Goodman, a nutritionist and serial entrepreneur who loves a good snack. Sarah used to make kiwi chips in her home kitchen for outdoor adventures for years, and after hearing consistent positive feedback from friends and family when sharing her favourite snack, she decided to see if they would be a hit on shelf. Chiwis launched in February of 2021 and their first retailer, Whole Foods Canada, and has grown across Canada and into the USA since, and even has product in Costco Japan! In under four years Chiwis has saved over 700,000 lbs of fruit from landfills by using upcycled fruits and as much of the fruit as possible, including the skin, core, and rind.
