It all started with our grandmas. David grew up going to Oakland Chinatown with his Nainai, picking up vegetables and weaving in-and-out of herb shops. Kai grew up in Singapore; his Po Po would force feed him bitter Chinese herbs with every cough. As adults, David and Kai completely lost touch with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
