Wype

Nature called, and we answered. Wype was founded in 2019 after our founder, Giorgia, moved to the UK from Italy. Accustomed to the bidet (a staple in every Italian household for intimate hygiene), her relocation to the UK was quite the adjustment! Exploring the alternatives in toilet-paper-dominant countries, she noticed an expansion of wet wipes from baby care to adult use on the toilet. However, every search about wipes raised concerns about polluted coastlines, sewer blockages, and microplastics dispersing into the environment. Convinced there had to be a better solution, she created Wype: a natural gel designed to enhance regular toilet paper's cleansing and soothing capabilities and fit to satisfy the needs of the most discerning bottoms. Soon enough, Wype was flying off the (virtual) shelves, and Giorgia's husband Eli joined the team, making it officially a family business. Wype is more than a natural and organic formula, it also features a custom ergonomic reusable applicator designed to fit seamlessly into toilet routines while reducing unnecessary waste. But that's not all; since launching, Wype has gained an ass-kicking Chief Medical Officer, Dr James Kinross, a top colorectal surgeon and pelvic floor physiotherapist Lucy Allen as advisors; that is to make sure that Wype is designed with the needs of real bottoms in mind. Since launching in late 2020, Wype has aired on Dragons' Den (UK Shark Tank), has garnered coverage in major news and lifestyle outlets, including the Economist, and has become the UK's #1 wet wipe alternative, cherished by over 100,000 customers with a 4.8 rating on Trustpilot.
