Canary was conceptualized in the Fall of 2022 and we launched by the end of January in 2023. Our partners grew up together in a small town in Texas, where they were avid skateboarders and snowboarders. They reconnected years later to swap stories about supply chain woes during covid and dreams about building a brand that has a mission to make a difference. They decided that it is no longer acceptable to stand by & watch the trash build up around the earth and pile up into the future of our children. Our oceans are full of islands of plastic trash & less than 5% of plastic is actually recycled! They felt that it was time to clean up where we clean up.
