Barnacle Foods was founded in 2016 out of a desire to use business as a tool to make positive change. We set out to add-value to Alaska grown kelp and to support the up and coming network for kelp farmers and harvesters setting down roots on the coasts of Alaska. Our flagship product line is a line of hot sauces that are made of 40% Alaska grown kelp - not a gimmic - but a way for people to truly incorporate domestically grown seaweed into their diet in ways that are easy to use on any meal. Since our inception, we have focused on product quality and do everything from sourcing our own ingredients and working closely with our harvesters to make our own products in our facility based in Juneau, Alaska. Today, we make a line of 15+ shelf-stable foods that feature Alaska grown kelp as the main ingredient.
