Aotearoad was founded in 2016 by two women who wanted to make a change to the ever-increasing presence of plastic on supermarket shelves. We are both passionately connected to the ocean and dreamed of creating effective natural alternatives for everyday products in FSC paper compostable planet-friendly packaging. ​ Vanessa and Monica found a gap in the market for affordable FSC paper compostable packaging in the health and beauty category. No product ticked the sustainability box of being, plastic-free, compostable, 100% natural, affordable, user friendly, and most importantly effective. We are rebranding to slo natural beauty! "Slow beauty" is the new clean beauty. Not a fad. It's the latest movement and it's here to stay. It's about investing in products that have been sustainably crafted – in method, sourcing ingredients and packaging. Brands are using fewer, better products to lessen unnecessary consumption and waste. They're encouraging consumers to be more mindful about the way they shop beauty products. At the same time inspiring consumers to take time away from the digital world and relax…slow down We are also proudly 100% women owned and operated. We donate 5c from every product sale towards saving the sea birds. We also plant trees and sponsor sustainable fishing charities.
