Acetaia Bellei

Since 1847, the Bellei family has been producing Balsamic Vinegar if Ravarino, not far from Modena, Italy. Bellei was born as a Traditional Balsamic Vinegar producer and has always been focused on its core. In 1904, grandmother Rosina received some casks as her dowry for marriage and since then the Bellei family has collected casks throughout the years. Today this is the greatest patrimony of the company : more than 3.500 oak barrels - of small dimension- from 15 to 220 liters - that enrich the Balsamic during maturing and aging process. Since the late 80's, Mariangela, Acetaia Bellei's owner of third generation, has been focused on production of medium-high end Balsamic Vinegar of Modena : in fact, the assortment is focused on aged and dense Balsamic Vinegar, both PDO & PGI ,high density Balsamic condiments, and glazes. From a production perspective, Acretaia Bellei consists of 3 plants, 2 of which are brand-new, built up in 2015 with 5 fully-authomated production lines, working through solar energy only. For its entire production, Acetaia Bellei utilizes only made-in-Italy ingredients and cooked grape must, never concentrated. Acetaia Bellei uses only local suppliers for its ingredients ; all production phases (sourcing, ageing, bottling) take place in the area of production, close to Modena. Acetaia Bellei ranks among the first 3 Italian producers by volume and by value in Italian retail and has always been a reliable partner for the most important Italian retail banners.
