ZenOsa Organics

The inspiration for ZenOsa emerged from our experience as Pediatricians and moms. We noticed that more and more families were seeking natural remedies for mild health concerns. We also knew from our research that a growing body of scientific evidence supports specific natural remedies. However, what was available on the market did not align with what the science showed. The real spark came during a particularly rough cold and flu season. Our office was flooded with exhausted parents looking for something to help their little ones feel better and help everyone get a little more rest. The most desperate group were the parents of young children because the main ingredient in most OTC cough/cold medicines, Dextromethorphan, is not safe or recommended for children under age six. We felt like broken records talking them through the same research-backed natural remedies we recommend, such as honey, elderberry, zinc, etc. They were appreciative but wanted an all-in-one product they could buy. Unfortunately, there was nothing on the market we felt good enough about to recommend. The natural products available either left out key ingredients so parents would have to give multiple remedies, or they included extras without any scientific basis or safety data, and many use vague label terms like "natural flavors," which is not well defined or regulated. In our frustration, we started to joke that we should just make our own line, but over time we saw the value in it and the need. As pediatricians, we didn't seek to start a business, but the demand and a gap in the market were undeniable, and we recognized we were uniquely qualified to fill it.
