A lifelong baker, I have always enjoyed bringing desserts to dinner parties and having sugary goodies around the house. I enjoy nibbling and have a terrible sweet tooth. I am also health-conscious and socially conscious, concerned about what goes into my body, what is in the goodies I nosh on and where they come from. I wanted integrity in the quality of the ingredients I eat. I wanted to be able to satisfy my cravings but also eat healthy and responsibly, thinking about the future of our natural resources. In other words, I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. What's a girl to do? Then I discovered the joy of gluten-free, vegan cookies!
