I was born and raised in Israel, went to fashion school, and later built a design career in the fashion industry. In 2009, following my spouse's professional path, we moved thousands of miles away from home- to a place where familiar Eastern Mediterranean ingredients were nearly impossible to find. In my new home in Lubbock, Texas, I found a new passion for my childhood flavors, as cooking and sharing Israeli foods and stories became our way to reconnect with home, share our stories, and make new friends. When our family later moved to the Northeast, Sweet Tahini was born with the mission to bring sweet new flavor experiences to the Americans, using Middle Eastern most nutritious pantry staples. I started making tahini-focused creations in my home kitchen and selling them at local farmers' markets, later moved the production to a commercial shared kitchen space and expanded into retail stores. I'm excited to introduce our new line of products - tahini and oat-based nondairy ice cream – at the upcoming Expo East.
