Growing up in Maine, seafood was regularly on our dinner table. We learned that seafood is as healthy as it is delicious. And our favorite meals were filled with shrimp. As dads and former athletes, we wanted to introduce our families to healthy seafood, but we didn't always have time to cook. The convenient meals in grocery stores were pre-cooked, loaded with calories, or full of ingredients we couldn't pronounce. Our business started in 2013 under the brand name "Cheating Gourmet." We were crafting and selling seafood appetizers inspired by family recipes. All the appetizers were delicious, but they didn't fit well with our lifestyles. So, we headed to our kitchens and created our shrimp bowls to meet our needs. We launched our shrimp bowls in 2017 and rebranded as Scott & Jon's in 2019. What's our secret? First, we start with raw shrimp which steam cook in the microwave for a first-cooked taste. Second, we craft recipes to be low in calories with good macros and high-quality ingredients. Today, Scott & Jon's is a line of fresh-cooked, better-for-you shrimp bowls. We continually innovate new recipes to improve consumer satisfaction. And we're still family owned.
